Janey Camp, PhD, PE, GISP, CFM
Owner and Founder of Reliant Solutions, LLC
My research expertise includes applying risk analysis techniques to evaluate and minimize vulnerabilities of infrastructure assets and systems toward enhanced community resilience at all levels. I'm also interested in the interactions and role of humans in planning for and responding to not just hazards, but other factors that complicate situations such as inter-dependencies between systems, management decisions, and the social fabric of communities which can lend toward resilience when risks become reality.
My consulting expertise has involved assisting organizations in performing holistic, enterprise risk management and risk assessments to environmental engineering projects such as evaluating the impacts of land use changes on future flooding conditions. I also have done GIS mapping and Hazus modeling to contribute to community hazard mitigation plans (HMPs). I have worked for Metro Nashville Public Schools, ESRI, and the TN Department of Education to develop and provide professional development and training to K12 teachers.
